How Our Commissions Work

As you may know we now offer commissions for painting your miniatures and tabletop terrain. We offer two main standards of painting at the moment, they are Tournament Ready and Tabletop Ready. Both these methods are done to a high standard to ensure that you walk away with an army, terrain set or miniature that you are happy to show off to your friends and opponents.

How it works

When you approach us for a commission we will ask you a number of questions to make sure we have the same vision for miniature that you have. If you have models already built, you can send them in to us to paint or we can order them in for you.

For example, If you were to comes to us looking for a unit of Infernus Space Marines to be painted using the Mantis Warriors paint scheme. We would then as what standard you would like the model to be painted to then begin painting your commission. Once we have the first model finished we would then send pictures to ensure that your are happy with how it looks, if so we would continue painting the rest of the models. If you were not happy we would then discuss woth you any changes that need to be made to get the miniature to a standard that you like. Once finished we would then update you and send you commission via post.

What is Tournament Ready?

Tournament Ready is a standard of painting where it is considered the minimum requirements for a model to be considered painted, this is usually for people looking to get there miniatures done quick to be used in a tournament. This method usually consists of at least three colours used on the model with no washes or highlights done and no small details are picked out.

An example of this can be seen below with this Infernus Marine.

What is Tabletop Ready?

Tabletop Ready is a step up from Tournament Ready, where highlights and washes are added to the model to add extra depth and pick out small details on the miniature.

This has been done to the Infernus Marine to add shading to the armour and depth to the details on the miniature which can be seen below. This obviously takes a longer time than tournament ready as more time is spent on each miniature to bring out the smallest details.
